Here are some reflections on Marten's work as a Choral Conductor.
“In a relatively short time Marty can develop a strong rapport with choristers. While he makes rehearsals enjoyable, choristers understand who is in charge and respond to Marty with a clear desire to meet or exceed his expectations. His musicianship allows a diverse range of acapella and accompanied items to be rehearsed and performed at a very high standard. He works seamlessly with supporting staff, bringing an obvious joy of music to all around him" Stuart Little - General Manager, The Chime Choir, Melbourne "All choristers, both young and old respond instantly to Marten's musicianship. His knowledge of vocal pedagogy earns him respect, his ear for good blend and balance is a huge advantage and he is able to charm the best out of his singers with his good humour and zest for the music. His conducting is always refined, direct and very communicative" Jayne Turner - Former Director of Music, Toorak College, Melbourne |
