​Marten Visser is an accomplished choral conductor, vocal specialist, and music educator with more than two decades of experience leading school, community, church, and professional vocal ensembles. He is recognised for his ability to develop choirs into expressive, technically confident, and musically unified ensembles, combining artistic excellence with a rehearsal style that is engaging, collaborative, and grounded in healthy vocal practice.

​His conducting repertoire spans the breadth of the choral tradition, from major works including Mozart's Mass in C, Handel's Messiah, and Fauré's Requiem, through to contemporary composers such as John Rutter, Karl Jenkins, Frank Ticheli, Eric Whitacre, and Ola Gjeilo. As Principal Artistic Director of Melbourne's Chime Choir, Marten directed the sold-out Australian premiere concert dedicated to the music of Ola Gjeilo in 2018, receiving widespread acclaim for its musical excellence and artistry.

Equally at home in classical, contemporary, sacred, and popular repertoire, Marten brings stylistic authenticity, thoughtful musical interpretation, and clear artistic vision to every ensemble.
